The U.S. Ski Orienteering Team currently consists of five men and five women.  The team is named biannually, to race at the Ski Orienteering World Championships (SWOC).

There are international racing opportunities for individuals interested in ski-o who are not on the team as well, including World Masters' Championships, World Cups (requires the consent of the Ski-o Executive Steering Committee), Junior World Championships, and multiple regional competitions in Europe. 

The U.S. Championships are an important part of each team member's portfolio for making the team in 2011.
